8A- Solving the problem

In choosing my opportunity, I saw that student athletes need to be treated better by the NCAA and the universities than they have been. I think that a solution would be is to have the students of the conferences to form an allegiance and provide different services to the NCAA and the schools in order to get the fair deals for the athletes and that way there will be a median in which they can communicate between the execs of the NCAA and the student athletes. I think this service would provide clarification between the two parties. Although this is not a physical product, I think this is an opportunity for local businesses to be able to use the athletes to market their stores and it gives the athletes a way to make some money without signing contracts and being bought by schools.

  1. Hi Tyler,
It seems that there have been quite the talks about NCAA athletes needing better compensation for the rigorous activities that they experience everyday. I like where you are going with your opportunity because I think that athletes would be able to better interact with their community by working with local businesses to make money. In this way, you would take the liability out of the NCAA to pay athletes money, while also promoting players in their respected communities.

  2. Hi Tyler,
I thought your blog post was something that needed to be said. The NCAA has been mistreating athletes for decades. I think the idea of a student athlete union is a great idea. This would ensure students have a body that sticks up for them and is looking out for their rights. I think that this needs to happen sooner rather than later.

  3. I couldn't agree more with the stance your blog post takes on this discussion that seems to be brought up alot in the news these days. A student athlete union would create a better platform between universities and student athletes to work in the local community to earn money and also useful to promote these companies at the same time.
